To be fair, I dont consider us “stuck” with Trocheck. Its a pleasure to have him on this team. However, his NTC goes from 12 to 10 teams. Maybe that was part of the play also to not trade him at the deadline. Will those 2 additional teams actually matter, probably not. He is who is he, he will give you 50+ points, hes fantastic at faceoffs, solid leader and he will be cost controlled for a team that may potentially be stuck against the cap ceiling for 3 more years. Were certainly not stuck with him, many teams will be kicking tires on his services, its just a matter of whats being offered because Drury has made it clear that he doesnt just want picks and a project prospect.
We are stuck, this team is nowhere near a playoff team let alone a Cup Contender. After saying he was getting traded, you have to trade him now.
Also… as far as PPG players.. maybe its fools gold, maybe its not… but since March 1st…

However, we do need another line that is producing to this level.
How can you say we havent played any good teams and think there is something going on? This team is playing with no stress or expectations. How many times were they out shot and our goalies saved us? There is nothing going on here for next year. Mika duplicating this season next year is a bit of a stretch and Miller will have to be 100 percent better just to make the playoffs.No grind.
