Before we go crazy about contracts, the cap space is plentiful. There really isn’t much to be concerned about. Unless someone like
Perrault blows up which obviously would be wonderful anyway. Meaning it’s not like we have a Dorofeyev/Jason Robertson problem looming

Just because we have cap space, doesnt mean we need to go out and fill it. My problem is we have prospects within the organization that could bloom, particularly Greentree. The last thing I want to do is block his ability to get in the line up with a 31 year old winger with a full NMC and 6 years left on his deal, who only once has scored more than 56 points. I dont care that the best season of his career was playing with Miller, it was 3 years ago playing for a different team with a different coach.

In 2 years, Miller’s contract becomes a 15 team no trade and we need to get out from under it ASAP.

I’m looking at it this way, Boeser wouldn’t cost much going out. That’s a plus. He plays both wings so it wouldn’t necessarily block anyone. It would move Kartye down most likely

Listen none of my ideas are ever popular and I’m ok with it. I stick to my guns. I’d prefer Dorofeyev trust me, just seems unlikelier as the days go by

You guys all need to realize that miller and Trocheck arent going anywhere. They just aren’t. Especially Miller. The last thing Drury would do, after the Trouba fiasco, is trade off ANOTHER captain. And it’s crazy that you guys would sign off on that after the two years of bellyaching for him doing this exact same thing. And Trouba sucked, and we’re still talking about it infecting the lockerrom. This place never ceases to amaze me. He isn’t that bad, he was hurt all season. He’s actually been better since the Olympics
