ParticipantLeafs won 1 round big fucking deal, got demolished in gm 7.. not a chance this years team with marner is much better. and it would just be a mirage.
They got demolished because they lost to the best team in the NHL. Nobody else got that close, not even McDavid. McDavid had 1 meaningless goal vs. the Panthers last year. Same goes for Kucherov. The Panthers stopped everybody. Only the Leafs got them that far.
This team is way better with Marner than without him, the stats and the facts are obvious.

ParticipantNot to mention the tiny little detail that MARNER DIDN’T WANT TO RE-SIGN WITH THE FUCKING LEAFS. Holy, some people just love to beat the living fuck out of a dead horse.
Don’t look now, but there are already Vegas fans with buyers remorse. Only 7.7ish years to go, suckers!
If Marner wanted to leave, he would have been playing for the Hurricanes. It was only after the retards in management and the retards in the fanbase, such as yourself, forced him to move on.
Are Vegas fans sitting dead last in their conference and 5th worst in the league? Those Vegas fans seem to be as clueless as the retards who ran him out of Toronto. They’ll learn the hard way, as they always do.

Pretty sick that I, personally, forced a millionaire to relocate his family due to hurt feelings.
Also, I’m not 100% sure of the timeline, but according to some reports the nixed trade to Carolina was AFTER Marner rejected $13Mx8. God, I’m so glad he didn’t take that deal, we’d be subject to 8 more years of playoff failure. Now, if the season is in fact a write off, (it’s not), we can do a full rebuild.

The snowflake doesn’t blame itself for the avalanche.
You’re glad that the team is dead last in the East and 5th worst in the league? You must love it when the Leafs lose I guess. Pretty retarded to believe that.
Playoff failure? You mean the rest of them without him will fail to make the playoffs entirely? Seems to be that’s the true playoff failure now. You mean the guy who has more career playoff points than Tavares? And Matthews. And Nylander. And had direct involvement in 3 GWG vs. the Panthers last year? Boy, if that’s failure, just imagine how much more they’re going to fail now that they won’t make the playoffs AND have kept all the inferior playoff performers and added nothing to replace the guy who was #1 in playoff points among them.

ParticipantI disagree in that they’d still suck with their best player Marner. He set the tone for the team. He made Matthews successful. He bore the brunt of criticism so Nylander could go float around center ice looking for breakaway passes. He was everything to the team.
But Brad is an awful GM.
this is the 4th season in a row there they have trended down by a decent chunk in xgf, possession whatever you want to look at. Marner was there for 3 of them
Tre has chipped around the edges to try and make the team bigger and tougher to play against..but they are just slower and worse.Tre is garbage. Dubas was pretty bad too. I’ve been saying this the whole time. The Leafs could’ve done so well with Matthews/Marner if they surrounded them properly. If they identified the culture issue early on instead of pretending they’ll change, or it’s not bad because the fans like him (Nylander) then the Leafs had crazy potential.
Keep Kadri
Trade Nylander
Keep Hyman
Trade Rielly
Keep Marchment/Verhaghe etc..
Freddy didn’t need to go (he’s slowing down now)
Now Minten is gonna be good.Honestly, just surround Matthews/Marner with Canadians who play physical and are defensively sound. Also, you need a goon.

ParticipantSources have said Anthony Stolarz has quietly requested a trade. Unlikely to see him back in a Leaf uniform.

You forgot to switch to your Eklund account before you made this retarded attempt at an impersonation.

ParticipantIn hindsight, the Carlo and Laughton trades hurt. But Tre was trying to do what he could to push the Leafs over the top, and that comes at a cost. The Leafs almost beat the eventual cup winners, after losing their #1 goalie in game 1. Granted, they got butt fucked in games 5 and 7, but that’s what the Panthers do, grind you down over a long series. The Panthers kicked the shit out of every other team they played last year, the Leafs were the only team to take them to 7.
Carlo was solid last year, but fell off a cliff this year. Hopefully, he can turn it around.
Laughton was terrible last year, but is playing much better this year. Hopefully, he can keep it up.[/quote]
“In hindsight”? The laughton trade was terrible from the get go and absolutely desperation move and huge overpayment.
Same with the carlo one, didnt need to include a high end prospect.
Both moves could be disastrous for the leafs.November 26, 2025 at 8:34 am #51325Fakepartofme

Tre is garbage.
Marner and matthews were part of the culture issue. Specially in the playoffs when marner would whine and fold after game 4.
Keeping kadri wasnt the solution, he’d be suspended every playoffs
Freddy needed to go, he choked too often.
Should have kept Marchment, I agree.
Trading Nylander, the one player who showed up consistently in the playoffs and has improved almost year over year the past 3-4 years, is as expected and AA braindead move.November 26, 2025 at 8:41 am #51326senstrolltwo

Both moves could be disastrous for the leafs.yeah, just overpayments for bottom lineup players.
Leafs added Carlo and Laughton, Florida added Jones and Marchand. easy to see why one team is successfulNovember 26, 2025 at 9:18 am #51338Fakepartofme

Wrong. Again. Marner wanted to leave but didnt want to be traded. Wanted to control of his destination and wasnt going to accept a mid season trade.
No one forced anything. Its pretty common knowledge that he was interested in vegas mid season.
Fans didnt run anyone out of town…the player left of his own free will. Get over it, stop whining all the time.November 26, 2025 at 10:04 am #51348senstrolltwo
