The Detroit Red Wings needed a win, however sloppy defensive play cost the team. Accordingly, the worst ranked team in the league beat them.

The change of mindset (or at least being consistent in this change) is worth noting indeed ! Talent is there, is changing one player enough ?
Making the playoffs is not enough, you have to be ready to do something in these games. Being swept in the first round is not something you wish, so if you go, you have to be sure it is for a good reason and not just a few games.
Today, Detroit is at the limit but if they make it, maybe it will give them a spark of confidence for the years to come ?
