Join the Utah Mammoth to Celebrate Archie

Last season, the Utah Mammoth partnered with American VetDogs, a national nonprofit organization that provides service dogs to veterans and first responders free of charge. As part of the American VetDogs Puppy with a Purpose program, a 13-week-old black Labrador Retriever named Archie became the new team dog for Utah. Archie will become a future service dog for a veteran or first responder with disabilities. Now is the time for fans to come together and celebrate Archie’s birthday in style.

The Utah Mammoth would love for all its fans to join in on the birthday celebration. Come join Archie, American Vet Dogs, the Humane Society, and America First Credit Union to celebrate Archie’s first birthday! The event is going to be held at Smith’s Ballpark on August 9th between 10 am. – 1 pm. There will be all sorts of fun activities for everyone, such as yard games, food trucks, balloon artists, street hockey, face painting, and more!

In addition to all those great activities, the Utah Mammoth would love for you to help out some cats and dogs in need of finding a new home. You can do so by checking out the Humane Society’s adoption center. Please note that instead of bringing gifts for Archie, those attending the event are being encouraged to bring donation items and pet supplies for the Humane Society and school supplies for AFCU’s Backpack Bonanza.

The Utah Mammoth and event organizers would like to point out that although they wish they could celebrate with your family’s pets, they’re asking that attendees leave their pets at home for this event. Archie’s birthday is open to the public, so bring your friends and family to Smith’s Ballpark to join the fun!

This sounds like such a great event. I hope more teams around the NHL will take up this initiative and help out the Humane Society in their own communities. There are tons of cats and dogs looking for a forever home.
