The midweek Off The Post Radio podcast is coming your way Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. EDT! The special guest is Hockey Hall of Fame broadcaster Bill Clement. Bill, of course, was a two-time Stanley Cup winner as a member of the Broad Street Bullies era Philadelphia Flyers under head coach Fred Shero. He scored a key breakaway goal in Game Six of the 1975 Stanley Cup Final against the Buffalo Sabres. Later, Clement played in a pair of NHL All-Star Games.
After his playing days, “Duke” became a prolific NHL broadcast analyst both on the local and national levels. His longtime broadcasting parterships with the likes of Mike Emrick and Gary Thorne are considered among the best the sport has ever seen. As a broadcaster, Clement was renowned for his calm and articulate demeanor in analyzing game strategy and execution on the ice.
Away from the rink, Bill has been a massively successful public speaker. He’s a published author. entrepreneur and even had a professional acting career.
