Has anyone subscribed to ESPN to stream DRW games that lives well outside of Michigan but still has a Michigan based phone number?

I am concerned I will be subject to black-outs since I have a Southern Michigan phone number prefix (269) and if that’s the case I don’t want to spend the $12.99 per month subscription fee. I attempted to watch tonight’s first pre-season game through Detroitredwings.com streaming but couldn’t due to being in the region, which is ludicrous as I live in Texas.

Thanks for any insight in helping this Texas DRW fan watch his favorite team. LGRW!!

Just came across your post. I’m a Blackhawk fan that lives in Florida with an Illinois area code, I have no issues streaming Blackhawk games on ESPN, except when they play the Florida teams, then I’m blacked out. It depends where you live, must live out of Red Wings blackout area. That’s all the help a BH fan can give a RW fan, I won’t even buy Little Caesars pizza. ?

      Thanks for the information Angotti!

I live in Texas currently so will likely only be blacked-out when DRW plays the Stars. It’s always nice to meet other teams respectful fanbase. ?
