ParticipantThe team did about as well as they could have considering everything. Pretty lame job by the refs, even putting aside team bias and just looking from an entertainment and on ice product perspective.

ParticipantRangers seem to be playing better as the year goes on. Could be as simple as buying into Sully and what he’s selling, or just more comfortable playing that way. The competitiveness and will and heart is there this year. They’ve just have lost some offense along the way, and that needs to be better
The schedule hit them a little bit, especially that TB game. They’ve played a lot of games so now the schedule eases up some which should help them.
These d corp have been great. Occasional bone head play but a million times better this year. Robertson and Morrow are both looking like NHL regulars, and solid bottom pair guys. Gavrokov is arguably the MVP of this team and you can see why he was a priority. He’s a big time play killer for the opposing team
All in all, they’re in a good place imo…it’ll be dogfight but they seem to care this year where they could sneak in. They need another scorer tho, and Perrault when he’s ready needs to be good.

ParticipantQuotes aren’t working but TJ as it stands they are one half of a good team. There is no offense here. It either needs to be addressed asap via some kind of roster move (trade or Perreault) to get a foothold in the standings or they should focus on getting assets and building for the future. The worst case scenario would be clawing to get a wildcard spot and falling short with Panarin walking for free and the rest of the core getting a year older

Or Miller starts scoring at his normal pace – Zib has proven to me at least that he is NOT done and could still be a point per game player. What killed us more than Drury imo was drafting two consensus busts ( (laffy and kakko)- Just bad Ranger’s luck. Even when we get lucky – its a fugazzi

ParticipantThe Rangers suffered two overtime losses over the weekend, showing strong effort but falling short in crucial moments. It highlights the need to improve in OT to close out games.

Age could potentially be catching up with Miller or its just that his line mates arent as good as they were in Vancouver. Mika hasnt been a PPG in 3 years now and there is nothing indicating that he is going to get back on track with scoring. In both their cases their best years could be behind them.

Participant4 shots in the third period, not much of an effort. Blackhawks are a young quick team, the Rangers just couldnt keep up. This team went thru their rebuild, results are whatever you want to think, problem is the other teams in our division had started their rebuild while we peaked now all of these teams are emerging from their rebuilds at the same time, makes the division tight.
