The St. Louis Blues ended up making two notable moves at the NHL trade deadline, and both of them signal a clear shift in direction for the organization. The first deal saw captain Brayden Schenn traded to the New York Islanders. In return, the Blues received Jonathan Drouin, a 2026 first-round pick, a third-round pick, and goaltending prospect Marcus Gidlof. The second move came when defenseman Justin Faulk was dealt to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a first-round pick, a third-round pick, and defenseman Justin Holl.
