To the normal Leaf fans in here – that lack of response to your captain’s knee being targeted by that piece of shit Gudas is sickening.

That being said I read something interesting – if that had happened to a Leaf player (say Nylander or Reilly since both wear an “A” and were on the ice and did nothing in response) do you honestly think Auston Matthews would have done anything to defend either of them?

The reality is no he wouldn’t, he’s proven 99 times out of 100 he’s not that guy and as such probably shouldn’t be the Captain.

Feels like it won’t be an issue in the next season or 2 anyway when he likely leaves to go somewhere else and not be the Captain and can just focus on scoring.
