Anyone here still daily driving an H2 in this heat? Thinking of joining the club

I know this is going to sound a little nuts but I’ve been obsessed with the idea of picking up an old Hummer H2 for weekend desert runs and maybe the occasional trip to the grocery store just because I’ve always loved how ridiculous and boxy they look and my wife thinks I’m having a midlife crisis which I’m not denying at this point honestly. Found a 2006 model over near Mussafah that seems to have been owned by someone who actually cared about it the interior isn’t trashed and there’s no rust on the undercarriage that I could see but obviously buying a twenty year old truck in this climate is a gamble on the cooling system and the air suspension if it hasn’t been swapped out already. I was trying to read up on what specifically goes wrong with these things besides drinking fuel like it’s free and I came across a page at https:exoticautoservices.ae/hummer/hummer-pre-purchase-inspection-abu-dhbai/ that listed a bunch of checkpoints for the transfer case and the roof marker lights which I hadn’t even thought about testing properly. What I really want to know is if there’s anyone on here who actually owns one in the UAE and can tell me if I’m signing up for a fun project or a permanent headache because my head says just buy a Prado like everyone else but my heart says V8 and portal axles.
