Anyone ever had their car headliner redone here or is it just cheaper to live with the sag
So the headliner in my old Lexus has decided to give up on life now that summer is basically here and it’s drooping down in the back seat like a sad parachute and every time I open the rear windows my kids think it’s hilarious to poke at it and I’m just waiting for the whole thing to detach and cover the baby seat while I’m doing 120 on the highway. I’ve been putting off fixing it because I assumed it would cost a small fortune or I’d have to send it to some specialty shop that only deals with European restorations but a friend told me there are actually decent Car upholstery services Abu Dhabi that can just re glue the existing fabric or replace it entirely without charging dealership prices. The fabric itself is still in pretty good shape honestly it’s just the foam backing that turned into orange dust which seems to happen to every car out here after about eight years of baking in the sun no matter how much you tint the windows. I guess I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth the hassle of dropping the car off for a day or two versus just buying one of those twist pin kits off Amazon and making it look like a DIY disaster which is what my wife is voting for because she thinks I’ll mess it up either way. Anyone actually had this done locally and can tell me if it’s held up over time or if the glue just melts again in the next heatwave?
