Nobody is going to toss the coach and longest serving player directly under the bus 5 mins after a press conf.anyway, it was mostly Pelley who made that awkward and uncomfortable. Chayka speaks well and did say a lot of the right things after. but none of it matters if they made bad moves.
its great he recognizes there is a problem with the leafs D and moving the puck up ice. thats a problem, but also the coach/system/style does not fit or work with this team. they got dummied all season, I hope thats addressed.

Chayka can’t be taken seriously if one second he is identifying clear and obvious problems with the defense and then the next second endorsing the two biggest sources of failure of the defense.
