The Leafs tandem of Mats Sundin and former Arizona Coyotes GM John Chayka made their first major decision as a new management team, relieving head coach Craig Berube of his duties with two years remaining on his contract. Chayka indicated that an organizational shift in philosophy was at the heart of the decision to make a change, and that the club will begin a wide-ranging search for a new bench boss.
