If you are working your way through the Street Racing and Touge progression tree in Forza Horizon 6, you’ve likely run into the Kita Ine Street Racing event. This one can be a bit of a handful. It is a 4.1-mile point-to-point sprint that starts out at the Ito Airfield and sends you screaming all the way to the coast of the western Minamino Region.

Because it’s a Street Scene event, you are dealing with open roads at night under overcast, damp spring conditions—plus the lovely addition of civilian traffic. Surviving this race requires a car that balances quick acceleration with incredibly tight handling.

Here is a straightforward game plan to help you conquer the race, secure the win, and keep moving up the progression tree.

    1. Optimize Your Vehicle Build
The Kita Ine track is mostly made up of abrupt, square turns mixed with a few high-speed straights. Top speed won’t do you much good if you fly straight into a wall on the first hard corner.

Prioritize Handling over Top Speed: Look for a car with a high lateral-G rating and excellent brakes. You need something that can wipe off speed quickly and pivot hard into those 90-degree corners.

Go with All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Upgrading your car to AWD gives you a massive advantage here. It provides maximum traction when you’re punching out of slow turns and keeps the car stable on the damp, overcast pavement.

Pick the Right Class: There are no vehicle restrictions for this event, so you can technically bring whatever you want. However, S1 or A-class JDM classics—like the Nissan Silvia or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution—hit the absolute sweet spot. They have the agility needed for these tighter coastal grids without being too fast to control in traffic.

    2. Master the Key Track Sections
Breaking the 4.1-mile sprint down into sections makes it much easier to manage:

The Ito Airfield Start: The race kicks off on a wide, open runway. Use this early straightaway to be aggressive and pass as many Drivatars as you can right out of the gate. Getting ahead early is crucial so you don’t have to fight for space once the roads narrow down.

The Square Corners: The middle section of the sprint gets technical. When approaching the harsh, square angles, make sure to brake early before entering the turn. Clip the inside apex cleanly, and then use your AWD acceleration to blast out of the exit.

Watch for Civilian Traffic: Remember, this is an unsanctioned night race, which means regular cars are out on the road. Keep your eyes focused further down the asphalt—especially when entering blind corners—so you don’t get caught off guard by a head-on collision that completely kills your momentum.

    3. Quick Fix for the “Event Bug” (If It Won’t Complete)
Sometimes, the game throws a bit of a curveball. If you are playing during a specific Festival Playlist week, the Kita Ine location might be temporarily overwritten by a Seasonal Championship or a “Discover Japan” trial. If you win the race and notice it still won’t clear from your map or trigger your tree progression, don’t panic. It’s a common playlist conflict, and you can fix it manually:

Drive your car directly up to the Kita Ine Street Race map icon.

Open up the event setup menu.

Press “Y” on your controller to switch the event from the Seasonal/Festival mode back to the normal race.

Run and win this normal version, and the game will permanently check it off your list.
