Earlier this week, Rick Tocchet and his coaching staff invited Flyers Daily host Jason Myrtetus to sit in on their annual pre-camp symposium. Normally, these kinds of things are strictly off-limits to media as well as fans.
The fact that Tocchet invited Jason to observe — and to do an exclusive interview with the staff — speaks to their trust level in Jason. It also provides a behind the scenes glimpse about the types of conversations that go on among the coaching staff.
The coaches shared their general observations about last season and 10,000-foot synopsis about plans to build off last season. Yesterday, Jason and I compared notes on our respective takeaways from his interview with the Flyers’ coaches.
