Rick Tocchet’s Philadelphia Flyers (0-2-2) are in Canada’s capital city on Thursday to play Travis Green’s Ottawa Senators (2-1-0). The Flyers are still in search of their first win of the young 2026-27 season.
Game time at Canadian Tire Centre 7:00 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcast on NBCSP.
On Monday in Tampa, the Flyers suffered a 4-1 setback against Jon Cooper’s Lightning. Tyson Foerster (1st) notched Philly’s lone goal of the game. Despite being heavily outshot and outchanced — for the fourth straight game — the Flyers hung within one goal until the Bolts pulled away in the late minutes of the third period. A strong goaltending performance from Dan Vladar (32 saves on 35 saves) went to waste.
The Flyers signed veteran winger Michael Bunting to a one-year contract on Wednesday. The team subsequently assigned young winger Alex Bump to the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
Meanwhile, the Senators are coming off a 5-3 road loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Outshot 13-2 in the first period, the Senators actually scored first but trailed by intermission. In a losing cause, Tim Stutzle, Drake Batherson (PPG) and William Eklund scored for Ottawa.
