Rick Tocchet’s Philadelphia Flyers (21-12-7) returned home from a 3-2-0 road trip on either side of the Christmas break. The team alternated wins and losses in games against Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. The club will practice on Monday at the FTC in Voorhees. On Tuesday, the Flyers host the Anaheim Ducks at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Dan Vladar was stellar in goal on Saturday afternoon. It would not be surprising whatsoever if the netminder gets the start against the Ducks. Vladar has also emerged as a strong candidate for the Czech Olympic team in February.
Likewise, the Flyers will probably use the same lineup they iced in Edmonton. The lone question mark, barring injuries: Will Nikita Grebenkin return to the lineup or Wii Garnet Hathaway play his second straight game after sitting out the previous six. Tuesday’s game is the 41st of the 2025-26 season: the exact midpoint of the Flyers’ 82-game regular season schedule.
