Marner has done fine in the playoffs with Vegas. The only issue is the quality of teams that Vegas has played so far. Once they get to Colorado, they’re going to get smoked. That team is the deepest team in the NHL. Outside of their average goaltending, the team is stacked. In the East, it’s Carolina’s to lose. They’ve also had a very easy run, to get where they are. Ottawa and Philadelphia are decent teams, but not championship caliber. Once Buffalo and Montreal kill each other, Carolina should easily get to the finals. Once there, Colorado should take them out in 6 games. It’s looking pretty predictable right now.
The Leafs fumbled many “low quality” teams. The Boston teams that the Leafs lost to all the time weren’t THAT good. They just worked harder than the Leafs. The Leafs blew a 3-1 series lead to Montreal. Missed the playoffs losing to Columbus.
Minnesota isn’t finished yet. They might get Colorado to switch goalies and that is their biggest weakness. Any team that stops getting saves, usually falls apart pretty fast. They can only win high scoring games 9-6 so many times.
