Vegas may very well win the cup and Marner very well may win the Conn Smythe but neither of those things will erase the 9 years of Marner in Toronto nor the way he left Toronto.
Vegas doesn’t have to win the Cup or the Conn Smythe. It’s already been proven that the Leafs were wrong and that they were a problem. Marner leads the playoffs in scoring, in the Cup Final and the Leafs are a lottery team. Marner wasn’t the problem and is clearly a vital piece to a successful team. Verifiable proven fact. Reality.
