I never went back to that site even once. It was over. It was no longer a hockey site.
X is becoming a cesspool also these days.
I don’t think the future is bright any longer for Canadian hockey. NHL is streaming more games and with the currency exchange difference and top players wanting to play in tax free states It does not look good for Canucks. I probably expect to see about forty games on TV this year instead of the full 82 plus.
Canadian teams just have to build a winner, that changes everything. There’s a bunch of NHL teams in high tax states just like Canada, Minnesota, Anaheim, LA Kings, San Jose, Washington DC, Washington State, New Jersey, Islanders, Rangers, Boston, Buffalo, they all pay high tax rates with the high salaries in pro sports.
Currency for Canadian teams is definitely an issue though with a ever-increasing salary cap, and the crappy weather most Canadian teams have to offer their players, taxes certainly plays into it too, but that’s not purely a Canadian problem.
