Let’s say the Flyers win 1st overall. Should the pick really be Schaefer or would you take Misa to play with Michkov? An argument can be made either way, so who would you choose?
I’m feeling more and more like Schaefer is the best way to go, IF the balls fall our way and we get the top pick. Misa is really intriguing, but I feel like Schaefer’s upside as a D is higher than Misa’s upside as a forward.

I agree with selecting Schaefer. The Flyers have not had a #1 DMan since the days of Kimmo and Pronger. Schaefer has that potential and is very young. He will not be 18 until September. The injury this season seemed more of a fluke, then any lingering issue.
If the Flyers get the first overall pick, I think Schaefer is the way to go. Can’t draft by positional need at the top of the Draft. Besides, it’s not as if the Flyers would be hard-pressed to find a spot for him on the blueline once he’s ready.
Always draft BPA and that is Schaefer.
At 4, assuming the top three picks are Schaefer, Misa, Martone, I would draft Hagens.
As bloodthirsty as I am for a Center or three, you go Schaefer here. There are a lot of Centers early in this draft, you can still grab 2-3 more with your other top 50 picks, including packaging to move up for a faller like Frondell, Desnoyers, or O’Brien.
Unfortunately the Flyers lack a 1D in addition to their black hole at C, so you can go BPA.
I def go with D as well for the same reason, If we are at 4-6 torn between Hagens and Frondell. Gonna give Frondell another look tonight us v sweden but wasnt overally impressed with him so far in the u18s but I like his size and love his shot. Hagens looked good in the u20’s didnt see many bc games. Prefer Frondell over Hagens at this point. Id take Caleb if the others are gone at 6…because you know we will be picking 6th (default flyers fan mentality)
