The Blackhawks will face one of the NHL’s hottest teams, as Ottawa enters this matchup with a 5-4-1 record, sitting third in the Atlantic Division.

I’m fine with the penalties because that let’s me know the team is being aggressive defensively. I don’t want the refs to take that away from my team even though they are trying.

I think the loss to LA was a good lesson. One of my favorite things about Campbell was he never tried to make something out of nothing, and would just shoot the puck along the boards behind the net to keep the opponent pinned but more importantly back to the goal so even if they win the puck they have to be careful with it. A lesson that Rinzel, Kaiser, Arty all need to learn.

It’s sad that Dickinson still doesn’t understand that.

Blackhawks just need to keep playing the way they are but this time if the opponent opens it up and you’re winning don’t follow suit, let them make the mistake so you can go up 2-0.

A rested Hawk team plays their 2nd consecutive oppenent playing a back-to-back. Hawks started out fast in their game against the Kings and I thought they would cruise to a victory. Goes to show you that you have to play 60 minutes. Yes Dots, I hope they learned their lesson. Ottawa put up 7 last night and are coming into the game with some momentum.

I would really like the team if they go into the 2nd period with the lead to play 200 feet of hockey.

If you end up getting pinned in your end once you get the puck to center ice you have to shootv it down and all 5 players get off the ice.

Next group comes out try to play good defense in the neutral zone but if they don’t then once they defend in our zone get puck possession same thing.

The long change is like a methodical boxing match, you’ve got to pick your moments when they reveal themselves.

They are wetting the bed yet again.
    Terrible 2nd period team.

Hopefully they can get their sh!t together.

Why can’t they play the 2nd period like they play the 3rd?
Maybe not Cup Champion quality, but sooooooo much more responsible and mature in their play.

Pure Evil sniping by Bedard tonight.

Hawks on pace for 98 points.
