ParticipantBeen reading about potential trade targets, and it looks like this is a seller’s market (and most sellers want established players back, not picks or prospects).
in that case Matheson is probably gone

ParticipantWe are potentially looking to downsize to a condo, and if we do, not only am I hiring movers, but packers as well.
LOL.
they charge so much more for packing it too that i just packed it all into boxes myself. i didn’t have much anyway because i knew it was silly to buy too much until i got back to my house.

Cannot wait to see what (or if) HuGo can get anything done in the next few days.

i did end up having to move back into the condo after they rebuilt it in june. so that sucked but it had a good payoff for moving in the summer in getting my house back. i hired movers for that anyway.

ParticipantIn Quebec, all (or most, unless agreed differently) of the rental leases end on the same date. so most people pretty much do not have a choice.
Also, closing on a house is not always a “pick me date” either.
But I get what you are saying, if you have the flexibility to plan, then try it.

when i was younger, i made sure to move in to my apartments in the fall. that way anytime my lease was up, if i wanted to find somewhere better, i was moving in the fall. i moved in and out of like 3 apartments in a row on halloween.
if you hate heat as much as i do, you have to plan properly.

ParticipantI worked as a mover for 2 summers when I came home from University.
You cannot really plan your move in/out dates based on the weather.
I moved so many people on rainy days, super hot days, etc…
Kinda sucked.
But I do miss being 19/20 and that buff.
LOl.
