Give me 25 on that contract and I can sleep well. And I know I won’t be sleeping well in year 4 (and probably 3)

Even 20 goals a year on that contract would provide value.

sure, but then they are paying 4.3M for a 3rd line center. not that much of a steal anymore. just a fair price, like Dvorak last season lol

JT has kind of devolved into a 3C, PP guy. He struggled as 2c on the road because it was becoming an issue.

well, he won’t score 38 on 3rd line. you can bet a $ on that one.

its a very good signing value wise, no doubt about that.

But its just how many times he went pouet pouet pouet in the playoffs, including with the Isles

I was really thinking the Leaf would try to make more changes

Now they need to address the 2c spot, and have a bit more change to get it done

Under 5 years and under 5 million. I know he’ll keep declining, but 38 goals is 38 goals.

definitively a hometown discount no doubt. he wanted to stay. at 35 and with the money he made… he can afford it.

    Especially after that tax win

    He was not going elsewhere.

    Good deal for the Leafs.

    Good deal for the Leafs.

they never won anything with him… and that shall remain
wouldn’t be surprised to see him retire after 2 seasons, on July 2nd after caching his signing bonus.

Still would’ve taken him on the Habs for a few years.
