Pat1993
Participantmeh, not in my book. too small and doesn’t score enough (unlike Caufield) to deserve top6 minutes.
decent 3rd line winger imo.yeah, you’re right, I guess my point was you can rely on him to play second-line minutes if need be, but ideally you want him on your bottom 6.

Participanthow did Davidson look on Saturday?
not bad. missed an open net for his 1st NHL goal but overall he did well.
not a bad lineup tbh. you see the job is not over yet, far from it, but I like this line up better. kind of.November 17, 2025 at 6:59 pm #49543Pat1993

Kapanen keeps surprising me, so that’s nice, let’s hope he continues on this trend.

Participantto me Newhook and Dach are not fit to play center. so a center line with Suzuki, Evans, Kapanen and Veleno… I prefer. said that back at camp actually.
now if the coach can wake the fuck up and fix their play in the dzone and on the PP… it should be easier to win games.
I’m not holding my breath.November 17, 2025 at 7:15 pm #49545Pat1993

🤣I always find you’re putting too much responsibility on the coach for this kind of thing, while underestimating the fact that this is a young team and that inexperience will surely lead to mistakes, but we’ve had this conversation before…
if Hutson makes mistakes and has a few bad games, it isn’t because of MSL’s system lol. bygones 👍

Participantyou’re right, a young and unexpericended team, but that is not a reason for bad coach’ strategies. how difficult is it to put Slaf in front of the net on the PP? not halfwall, not bumper, not behind the net… in front of the fucking goalie!!
how difficult is it to put Caufield where he could shoot? (like Laine)
that has nothing to do with being a young team.
and same goes for their play in the dzone.November 17, 2025 at 7:24 pm #49547Pat1993

and same goes for their play in the dzone.meh, I agree that the coaching isn’t perfect either and adjustments can be made but again I just find you’re putting too much weight on the coach when they’re losing, when they’re winning you aren’t saying anything so I guess they’re winning despite him.
you don’t like Martin St.Louis, it’s fine 🙂

ParticipantI don’t dislike him, told you before. I never liked his d system. it’s like watching Benny Hill running around.
but now I don’t like their PP!
so the d, the PP… whatelse is left to like? his press conference?November 17, 2025 at 7:33 pm #49549Pat1993

Participant…
🤣alright, one last thing about that, when they’re winning and aren’t running around like Benny Hill, it’s still the same damn system.
sure, adjustments can be made, but all teams go through slumps, and every young player will make mistakes. agree to disagree.

Participantwin or lose Pat, doesn’t matter. it’s the way they play I don’t like. I feel they could win more games playing differently, with the same young team.
but that we’ll never know.
and remember, they won many games againts below average teams, often having to come back late in the game…
how does that work againts better teams? not too well hey.
they are still learnning, no problemo. I just hope the coach is too. -
