ParticipantIf I could post a gif of Homer Simpson hmmphing in confirmation of his own idiotic stance, I would because nothing would be more fitting

ParticipantI bet they traded down to get more time to trade the picks for players.
Im not angry at the pick, at the end of the day, I have no idea if he will work. I just laugh when i hear that Dubas wanted to make this team bigger and harder to play against. so much for that.
the plus side is that I’m now not married to any of this and will be totally fine with trading any of it.

ParticipantI told you all that this is why you dont want to win meaningless games in March and April lol. Should’ve had a top 7 pick.

ParticipantThere’s plenty of good players to choose from at 11 and 12. He could have had kkndle probably at 22. I thinks he’s a damn moron and completely screwed this draft
I think it was a bad pick but Dubas has historically drafted well. Not the area to call moron on
I dunno if I’d agree with that. Sandin, Knies and Robertson are really the only picks he’s hit on in Toronto and the jury is still out in Pittsburgh.

ParticipantRegardless, as his small sample size grows I think he’s a Hockey Opps guy and needs a GM

ParticipantI don’t hate the pick. Some of my favorites are still dropping so I’ll hold judgement.

ParticipantAaaaaaaand ok let’s begin to be annoyed.

ParticipantDubas has a bad habit in trading down. In Toronto, he traded his 1st, that ended up being Travis Konecny and Leafs ended up with Travis Dermott. The extra pick was a nobody. It’s never worked for him in the past.

ParticipantWow. The picks I wanted to make, back to back. Fuckin brutal.

ParticipantIf the Penguins had taken the Islanders guys at 11 and 12, i wouldve been happy.
Big day for the Islanders.

and we were SO close to winning the draft. It’s pretty remarkable how lucky they’ve gotten.

ParticipantId like Malcolm Spence at 22. Hes a Penguin fan, good size, plays well, seems like he might be more NHL ready than most guys around here. Some mocks had him in the 11-15 range.
