ParticipantGood pick.
Its funny, if we had traded up 2 and gotten McQueen or even selected an Eklund, I would say this has been fantastic.
After reading more about our 11th pick, I get it. Seems like he is a really good player who is underrated because of his size.

ParticipantJust googled him and it brought up a post on Sens Reddit where one of the comments was they’d pass on him for the guy we picked who should be available at their spot at pick 21. Lol

That’s the tragic MO of Dubas. Small forwards and defensemen that never turn out. The Leafs under Dubas wasted so many picks on small, talented players who never turned into much.

ParticipantAnother pick Im not understanding. Dubas has been all over the place tonight with these picks. I liked Malcolm Spence better, but I dont really think we targeted the high ceiling guys.

Yea that seems to be his thing. The analytics seem to dictate a lot. Our 11th pick has a much higher % probability of becoming a star in the NHL than I would’ve guessed, but seems like he targets guys being overlooked for size.
And I say that as the Penguins just drafted a 6’5 monster lol.

ParticipantWilliam horcoff – biggest knock is skating ability. Apparently dubas doesn’t care about this what so ever.

ParticipantMarshall apparently loves Zonnon which makes me feel a hell of a lot better.

ParticipantWhen every prospect we acquire has below nhl skating we should become a real hard team to play against. Can’t wait for how dubas will botch July 1st

ParticipantThe 3rd pick seems more like a longer term project to me. 2nd pick Jesse Marshall is in love with so I’ll take that as a good sign. I
It seemed like we could have absolutely stolen eklund and Aitcheson at our
Picks. Loved their highlights. Oh well. There is so much info that we are not privy to, including the costs to move up, etc. hopefully today we see more player movement.June 28, 2025 at 12:12 pm #13016Magpie
