ParticipantHmmm with Nazar and now possibly Burakovsky out, not good for the Blackhawks against a high scoring team

ParticipantThis is a great opportunity for the young players to step up tonight.
Dach – Greene – Moore will get important minutes (and if Slaggert plays, same thing for him). This is also a chance for a few veterans to raise their game and show leadership.
The Blackhawks need to shoot the puck a lot, especially with Markstrom struggling lately. Pressure him early and often.
Chicago also can’t give up space at the blue line. Gap control, puck management, and strong possession will be key.
Overall, this is a big test for the Blackhawks to see exactly where they stand against a top NHL team.

————————————Interesting post from Tab Bamford.
I don’t know how this compares to ordinary scouting/executive presence, but it seems like a lot of people.————

NYITOR and SEA are in the Hawk’s next 3 games.
WSH and FLA are in the Devil’s next 3 games. Not sure how far ahead these guys regularly attend games for opponent scouting:
Hawks play the Ducks 8 games down the road.
Hawks play the Kings in 10 games.
Hawks play the Predators in 7 games.
Devils play the Red Wings in 5 games.
Devils play the Blues in 6 games.Neither team pays the NYI for at least 20 games.
Neither team plays Edmonton until January. -

Yeah, I probably should have checked the general thread first. That’s a lot of teams scouts/executives, interesting for sure.

ParticipantThe way i understand it there is always scouts from other teams at games all throughout the league.
I can’t see the Blackhawks doing much right now.

ParticipantTake note:
It’s a quiet night in the NHL with only four games on the schedule, which means more scouts are available to spread out and watch different teams. Also, don’t forget — Olympics are this season, so some teams may start sending scouts to various NHL games as part of their evaluation process for both pro scouting and international preparation.

ParticipantIt’s interesting how they broke down our defense on those last 2 goals, something the coaches can work on with the players

ParticipantWe were pretty lucky to get a point out of that one. Knight continues to be the team MVP. As of right now, we have the highest SV% in the NHL, second best shooting% and you have to think that will course correct a bit more. NJ is just a deeper and more skilled overall team at this point.

I think we have some young guys who are simply above average shooters. Hopefully it holds.
