ParticipantSo far, so good.
This is what Bertuzzi needs to provide for the team.
Just head to the net on every possession and be an annoying pain in the ass.
Something good might happen.October 17, 2025 at 9:31 pm #43028Assman22
ParticipantHawks up 2-0 after an amazing effort by Bert to score that goal. Even if it was 0-0 at the end of the first, Hawks owned that period via puck possession. Nucks looked exhausted after that huge win in Dallas last night and it showed with countless 1-and-done’s in their zone. They’re essentially just going through the motions and the Hawks are pressing hard and it’s paid off.

ParticipantCommentators said morning skate had a lot of shit talking between the teams about Dickinson. When will Vancouver seek out redemption for Dickinson’s hit last season? And who instigates it?

ParticipantLooking like absolute clowns again on the power play.
Can’t enter the zone, and fumbling around.
Bedard with a very dumb penalty.October 17, 2025 at 9:55 pm #43035Metalhead
ParticipantDonato with a dumb penalty on offense and the Canucks cut it to 2-1.

ParticipantThe team is looking spastic the whole 2nd period.
Need to tighten that shit up.October 17, 2025 at 10:09 pm #43037Metalhead
ParticipantSo much for that great 1st period.
Game just started over.

ParticipantHawks looking better in the 3rd period but nothing to show for it.

ParticipantWow, Hawks got hosed on a bad goaltender interference call.
Then, challenge overruled and a penalty.October 18, 2025 at 12:11 am #43052Mr Ricochet
ParticipantGlad they got a point but I didn’t want them to win this game. Starting in the 2nd this group played dumb undisciplined hockey and it started on that idiotic lazy PP that Bedard took a penalty during. Blashill takes as much blame for having Greene out for that PP making a less than stellar unit totally disjointed. Really, Greene on the PP?…… No, this club can’t think this was anywhere near accept6able enough to get two points.
1st period we saw last yrs Bedard’s weak/lazy defense, long shifts and losing hockey. He tried like hell to lose that OT all the way to taking a TWO minute shift… Yea yea, I know Rinzel and Nazar got caught out too but Bedard had chances to get off and didn’t. Loser hockey.
VAN was getting swarmed by the Hawk speed/tenacity in the 1st after playing last night and went down 2-0. But they came out like a vet club in the 2nd, buttoned up their structure nullifying that Hawk speed enough to tilt the thing their way. .. After that 1st they could have chalked it up to playing a back to back and traveling to play a hair on fire speedball club but they didn’t and get out with a smart 2 points.
Still can’t believe Knight is a Hawk. But as perfect and robotic as his movements generally look even he can get scrambly playing behind funk. Promise you he didn’t like his game. Laying on your belly or back in that many sequences tells him, and the viewer, he was off. …….
This is a game the Hawks can learn from. Hopefully that happens.

MH, this young group played 5 games and damn near 15 periods of sound enough hockey. I’m surprised we didn’t see a disjointed period like the 2nd a few games ago. …. Like I posted, they got away with a point and if they learned from this it’s a positive.

ParticipantYou know i got to enjoy the game live. Reichel is just so indecisive out there and Dickinson at times is a horrendous passer.
I really liked their compete but damn man i wish Bedard would just play his game vs the Canucks instead of trying to do everything. Really really really dumb penalty with 2 minutes left.
I must have seeing problems because that 3rd goal looked good to me, but you know Canadien Refs

That’s awesome, Dots. Who’d you go with and where did you sit?.. .. Got to be a bunch of observations seeing the group live and many for the first time, Dots.
