The Flyers didn’t realize the value he brought to the team, and now that he’s out, they see the drop.

Flyers fans have been saying it from Day 1 but any credit given to Vladar is less praise for Tocchet and his old time hockey. If the Brass couldn’t see that Vladar was the duct tape carrying this team, they should be fired.

The offense doesn’t run through Zegras.

Bull. Zegras has been far and away the best offensive player on this team the first part of the season. Even with his recent 10 game slump, he still comfortably leads the team in goals and points. Part of this is the misuse of Michkov. I am tired of hearing that Toch’s usage and Michkov’s issues are all Michkov’s fault. When it comes to Michkov, Tocchet may be worse than Torts. You have to wonder how Michkov would be doing on a team with a competent front office. Imagine if he had the freedom to play with Bedard and get his confidence up instead of all his faults drilled into him daily. They may not win many more games in the short term but it would pay off long term. Work on his faults while building his confidence or do it the Flyers way.

The Flyers have been living on a wing and a prayer and thought they were half way there.

A bump in the road? Nah, it’s the same thing we’ve seen from the Flyers the past 5 seasons.
