Look I know we live in Abu Dhabi and summer heat is just part of life here, but when your car AC stops working properly, it becomes a whole different level of suffering. I have a 2017 Cadillac Escalade that I absolutely love for its space and comfort, especially when I’m driving my family around. But about a week ago I noticed that the air coming from the vents wasn’t as cold as it used to be, and now it’s basically just blowing warm air no matter how low I set the temperature. The rear AC for the back seats still seems to work fine, which is weird, but the front is useless. I’ve tried turning the system off and on, I’ve checked the fuses, I’ve even tried pressing every button on that huge dashboard screen hoping something would magically fix it. Nothing works. I took it to a general garage near my house and the guy said I might need a new compressor and quoted me something like 5,000 dirhams, but honestly he didn’t even do a proper diagnostic, he just guessed. That didn’t give me any confidence at all. A friend told me I should look for Cadillac repair professionals in Abu Dhabi instead of trusting a random garage that works on everything, and that makes sense to me because Cadillacs have their own specific systems and computers. Has anyone else had AC problems with their Escalade or any other Cadillac model? What was the actual problem and how much did it cost to fix? Also, is it safe to keep driving the car when the AC is broken or could it be a sign of a bigger issue like something with the engine cooling system? I really need to get this fixed soon because driving around in this weather with no AC is honestly miserable and my kids refuse to get in the car until I sort it out. Please share your experiences and any recommendations for good specialists in Abu Dhabi.
