Pretty solid win against a really solid team, especially considering being down Tanev and Benoit.

Can’t wait to be informed about what is wrong with this team.

It’s a bunch of things, including what you wrote above about price and time.

I look at these ticket prices on the resale market, and I can get much better seats for much less money.

One of the big things about season seats is guaranteed access to playoff tickets, but the prices are so bloody high now, it’s hard to justify going to a game. I’d honestly prefer to go to a bar with friends.

And I’m certainly not as passionate as I used to be. Many will say that it’s because the Leafs have disappointed me for so long, but I honestly think it’s just me getting older. – Wedgie

Interesting what you said about the re-sale market and time. If you aren’t into seeing every game, or even most games, anymore, it certainly seems that the resale market might work better. From what I remember you are in the city or in close proximity, so you can probably do the last minute thing. (Tougher for me from Guelph).

As far as age, that is a thing. My dad used to tell me about it and I never really understood. I think that as you get older, you don’t get the same adrenaline rush and excitement. You also realize that none of it really matters in your life, even in the slightest. It all gets a little old.

You nailed it with the bar comment. Watching a game in a bar with friends or at a friends place is still fun, but it’s more about the company.

Powerplay still absolutely sucks, they only had 12 shots after 2 periods, biggest players on the team are the softest (Roy, Myers, Carlo all soft as baby shit in the corners), Stolarz hasn’t been as sharp as he was last year and the bottom pairing of Mermis and Myers is pure AHL level shit.

    You’re welcome.

    1) PP also sucked last year at this point in the season with possibly the greatest player ever to lace them up.
    2) Shots do not win games, goals do. Also, Utah had 16 after 2, soooooo…
    3) Who cares if the big players are soft, because the small players are the pittbulls. Laughton was taking no shit around Stollie. I’m sure Roy and Carlo would throw down if required.
    4) Stollie is off a bit, but he’ll settle in. Goalies gonna goalie.
    5) Yes, our bottom pairing when Tanev and Benoit are out are pure AHL level shit… BECAUSE THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYING IN THE AHL!!! Nobody is under the impression that these guy are gonna be anything more than plugs.

You’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel with these critiques. You have a hard job when the team is 5-1 in the last six and the key three are poppin off. Ironically, 88 is on pace for 116 points this year.

Sources say that the Hanifin deal is close.

I’ll take things that will never happen for $1000, Alex.

I was a little worried when the Leafs let in the first goal late in the first period.
Then come the dreadded 2nd period. Where the managed to be a +1 👍
This season so far, the 3rd has been the Leafs’ better periods and got he W even when the Mammoth scored late in the 3rd period – again, another late period goal I may add

Boston and Carolina back to back this weekend.

Primeau will get which team? Carolina from where the the Leafs plucked him from?
I’d rather see Stollie going in that game.

Not this bad and clearly the coaching absolutely sucks but without Marner, it’s going to be way harder for them to dig this dogshit PP out of the basement.

    2) Shots do not win games, goals do. Also, Utah had 16 after 2, soooooo…

Scoring a lot of goals on very few shots is unsustainable. You’d have to be really new to hockey not to understand that basic concept. The Leafs always struggle to score 5 playoff goals on 20 shots and it’s usually why they lose the games that matter most.

The lack of quality o-zone time (especially because they’ve mostly played home games) is a troubling trend that won’t end well if it keeps going this way.

    3) Who cares if the big players are soft, because the small players are the pittbulls. Laughton was taking no shit around Stollie. I’m sure Roy and Carlo would throw down if required.

Who cares if the Leafs have a bunch of big bodied passes? Uh, I do. The Leafs were supposed to get bigger, stronger and tougher. A bunch of lumbering pussies won’t move the needle versus the Panthers. Joshua is the only one that seems to play with balls.

You are SURE Roy and Carlo would throw down? I’m pretty CERTAIN they won’t. Carlo was the one who did NOTHING the last time he threw a guy into Stolarz. Carlo left his balls in Boston.

    4) Stollie is off a bit, but he’ll settle in. Goalies gonna goalie.

It’s actually more likely he will regress to what he really is, a back-up. Career high 34 games in a season for a reason.

Leafs need to get Woll back in there ASAP and get a split going.

Tanev is going to be out a long time and with only 2 NHL level RHD on the most healthy roster possible, it’s a big problem. The Leafs D depth is weak as fuck.

When Nylander scores 116 regular season points and the Leafs are bounced in the playoffs when his defensive ineptitude is exposed will you run him out of town too?

You keep looking at “wins” as if the way they’re playing doesn’t matter. We’ve seen this team play like dog shit but still get regular season wins then bomb in the playoffs. The same pattern is repeating and you’re too stupid to see it.

Kampf suspended without pay for leaving the Marlies, freeing up $1.25M in buried cap space for the Leafs. Is the mutual termination finally happening?!?!

Will he leave $3M on the table and walk away from all that COIN?

man TSN is becoming really bad for Hockey news in general.
can’t rely on TSN for Hockey news and that’s a shame on them.
