ParticipantWhat a goal by Raymond ! He has really high hockey IQ. I liked Seider’s reaction on his goal too, staying calm but happy (we can see on his face when he is not happy at all or not confident enough). Cat is playing well, so is Talbot. Larkin looked a bit frustrated because he’s be doing so well at the start of the season.
Kane not back yet is a bit of a concern, does anyone have any update ?
Once again, good points, everyone would have signed for that trip ! Let’s see how it will end against a really tough team.
Plus : are they going with Talbot again or are they keeping his energy for the season ? He seems to be more consistent than Gibson.
By the way, Leonard did a nice pre season, his name did’nt come unnoticed but soon forgotten by the start of the season. Now he looks like a player Yzerman could call up !November 3, 2025 at 10:15 pm #46909mcmastermike1968
ParticipantGood game in the aggregate, but the defensive lapses keep biting us in the rump. There was no reason for this game to have gone into OT. Reading that we’re connected to Troy Stecher….. I don’t hate that. I do think we’d have been well-served to have retained Ollie Maatta. He was solid, and defensive-minded. Of course retaining Jake Walman would’ve been smart as well but there was something that The Captain didn’t lile about him, I guess – that’s still a very murky move, if you ask me. Regardless, we need to shore up defensively. I’ll actually compliment Copp because he’s playing a much improved defensive game.
This team just needs a comprehensive defensive scheme. Yawney’s a smart guy and have helped re-invigorate the defense, but our F corps needs to get more on board with shutting down opposing teams. I’ve a feeling that VGK will absolutely dissect defensive lapses and excoriate us if given the chance. We can’t afford to have to come from behind, and that starts with a comprehensive defense across the on-ice skaters….
