The Detroit Red Wings dressed a “B” team lineup against the Boston Bruins, John Gibson’s play was a bright spot. The rest fell flat.

So do you think Compher could be traded before the start of the season ?
Finnie has been playing a lot, so maybe he is tired. That’s why it is good to have a nice start, but the season is so so long. Danielson is staying consistent, a good point for him. Bear needs time but he will be a good player if he gets bigger.
Wallinder makes nice plays too, I would trust him more than Holl.

Following the Buffalo game (gamecenter), it seems as though Cossa is not ready : 2 on 6 shots ! How can you win a game like this ? Maybe the D is not working well either in this game, but Cossa has to be way better.
Happy for Lyon though, but less for Cossa…

Cossa looks bad today. He is definitely not ready. His last game wasn’t so great either. I have to say, the few times I’ve watched him play, he hasn’t impressed.
        They looked bad today.

With the Gibson acquisition, it blocks Cossa from coming up unless an injury happens, which likely will. I think Postava will surpass Cossa. I think Cossa gets traded if that becomes apparent, which also gives Augie a path next year. Wings have too many goalies and will have to shed some in the next 2-3 years.
Wings still need a top 6 winger and a 2nd pairing RD before they can accomplish a playoff climb. Finne may be an answer for top 6, but not till March or next year. I would love to see Anders Lee come to Detroit for Bergren and maybe Cossa or picks other than a 1st, but Lee is a mid-season trade.
As for RD, Andersson is too expensive for a guy who just had a sub-par season. Hamilton would be a good pick-up, but he only has a 10-team trade list, and I don’t think Detroit is on it. Forget Karlsson till the price goes wayyyyyyyy down. If Hamilton or Karlsson gets traded to another team, watch Y go for that teams’ cast-off, he likes RDs that have been cast-offs! ????
