Patrick Kane became the top American-born scorer in National Hockey League history. The Detroit Red Wings lost to Washington.

Glad Kane got this impressive milestone. But losing the game put a big damper on it. Wings are going to implode if they don’t start putting in a full 60 minutes. These slow starts are getting really old. Sick of constantly seeing them chasing the other team. There is no breathing room right now or probably for the rest of the regular season. McClelland needs to sit Hamonic. He is a total disaster on the third pairing. Call up somebody from GR… Wallinder would be my first choice. Really hope Yzerman can pull off a trade to get us a legit top 4 defenseman… as long as it’s not a rental. Yzerman is smart not to waste any assets on a rental.
