Just complaining to nobody in general. Consider this an old man shaking his fist at clouds.
The state of the Lightning blogosphere is dreadful.
There is one decent Lightning blog called Raw Charge, but outside of that there is nothing of worth.
The Lightning have a couple of writers and media people on staff, but they are lackluster homers and their articles are very basic and shallow – no deep dives or objective analysis. AI could easily write that crap.
You’d think a team with major recent postseason success and back to back championships would have a better media presence, both officially and fan-based. They don’t.
The Tampa Bay Times and local media writers suck as well. I mean, one guy has no idea how the salary cap works (seriously), another is constantly suggesting stupid random trades by picking names from a hat, and I’ve got underwear older than most of them.
Michael Stuart is good, but he’s not local and rarely writes any more.
When I do a web search for Leafs blogs or articles, there are a ton. A lot of them are also crap, but at least there’s a wide selection to pick from and a couple of them are decent. With Tampa, you get a handful of the same dudes saying the same shit over and over, and most of it is just regurgitated “news” they picked up from Friedman or one of the other big names.
Sorry. Just had to bitch about it. LOL.
