I hate the floating penguin. I wish the triangle was still there. That’s my only gripe. I think I would have preferred 3 stripes on the socks too instead of the single thick stripe.

Agreed on the socks. I wonder how the normal black would look with yellow lids and socks. We’ve had some damn good jerseys though. I love that black .. I think 2019 stadium series that said Pitt in the what I’m assuming is the state of Pennsylvania outline. The diagonal Pittsburgh I like. Would love to see the jersey with the grey swoosh things though

I liked everything about the jerseys. The black arm stripes, different font. The ‘floating penguin’ look with the triangle gone. I just would have went with black buckets.

What would be your guys thoughts on doing something like I believe Anaheim and … someone else did and limit kindel and brunicke some games to allow them rest and more time for bulking up? Or just play him till the wheels fall off?

If we are close to a wild card spot I’d say maybe go hard but I’d think at any bit of wear and tear I would rest them for a road trip or a few games. Help keep the penguins injury curse away from them.

Somewhere Grinder is drinking Busch light and smiling ear to ear after beating Sullivan like that to open the season

I foresee him at HB just chilling there wondering where everyone is haha

It’s only one game but if they can play like that they will be a team that’s a pain in the ass. Even if they end up last in the conference it feels like they are working toward an identity and certain way of playing. Basically doing what sully preached.

I think putting graves in the A and starting Silovs if anything is showing people have to earn a spot. Letang is my boy but I would say anyone other than Sid should be benched for a night if they deserve it. Some of those old dogs could honestly probably use an extra break in the second half of the season.

Hopefully we put some of those righty’s on the left side or find something to shore it up a bit as the season goes on.

As much as I want the best chance at mckenna and DuPont I love seeing the pens win! If we do suck all year hopefully we can at least go undefeated in the metro and lose everywhere else haha

It might not be in his skill set but I’d like brunicke to play on the left side so he’s not stuck behind minute eater 1 and 2 getting 5 minutes a night. Hopefully Pickering gets his stuff in order and punts one of these bums down to the A in the next couple months.

I can see brunicke and kindel both getting sent down after 9 games. Rust should be back around then, and we have two more right handed bums to anchor the 3rd pair. I agree though on not burning a year on either.

Im glad to see these decisions being made. Leads to be believe dubas let’s his coach make a lot of choices and that sully is a bum. I think Sam Ventura would have been an asset under dubas. Hopefully they build an identity this year and start trading and drafting in that manner. Hopefully some shrewd trades and a couple top 5 (ahem 1st overall) pics and back on the upswing.

Graves is waived. Hallelujah! Muse is already a king of Pitt coaches and he hasn’t coached a game yet. That being said I like is more relentless style of play and the fact he is putting more skilled guys on the pk and not just bottom 6 players

I still hope we suck balls for a couple years but I hope they fight it out and battle to the end in every game, build an identity, and go from there.

Curious to see if Kindel and Brunicke stick past 9 games. All in all. I’m liking the way things are going. Just need a few more vets gone soon.
