ParticipantThe 3rd pick seems more like a longer term project to me. 2nd pick Jesse Marshall is in love with so I’ll take that as a good sign. I
It seemed like we could have absolutely stolen eklund and Aitcheson at our
Picks. Loved their highlights. Oh well. There is so much info that we are not privy to, including the costs to move up, etc. hopefully today we see more player movement.Brownsoldier
ParticipantI have turned into a fan of our first pick.

ParticipantDamn islanders. Wow sis they win this draft in all ways.
and we were SO close to winning the draft. It’s pretty remarkable how lucky they’ve gotten.
Brownsoldier
ParticipantWow. The picks I wanted to make, back to back. Fuckin brutal.
Brownsoldier
ParticipantAaaaaaaand ok let’s begin to be annoyed.

ParticipantI don’t hate the pick. Some of my favorites are still dropping so I’ll hold judgement.

ParticipantI’m with you on Aitcheson. I don’t want Jackson Smith, but wouldn’t hate Radim Mrtka.
As for the forward, I’m not high on bear, but I could take a lottery ticket on McQueen. If we move up to take Martone and keep our other first rounder to take Aitch. I’d call this a done deal draft.
As someone mentioned earlier, if we took Chicago’s 3rd and San Jose took Frondell leaving us with Misa… now we are talking.
I also really like everyone’s ability to write these little forum posts.

ParticipantI… kinda like it?

ParticipantI don’t think we would use a first, but perhaps we would use a 2026 2nd and a player?

ParticipantWow jj peterka basically given away. Wtf is up with Buffalo and Anaheim just getting fleeced
I am not sure it was a TOTAL fleece job instead of just a bad reason to get rid of a good player by buffalo. When I initially saw who it was between (utah) I felt like the 4th overall pick was definitely involved. Surprisingly, it was not. Perhaps this means that They wont select Porter Martone and we can potentially trade with Nashville or someone in the 6-8 range? A new article that just came out from Scott Wheeler (draft guru guy) thinks Hagens could be available at the 5-7 range, which would obviously be easier to move up to than 4th.

ParticipantI do like that anyone can write a blog in the forum though. I read that one brownsoldier posted and I didn’t know anything about the jagr video going to Pittsburgh.
I feel like I am already seeing improvements with this site?
Thanks. I love the speculation around a good #jagrwatch.

ParticipantI think there are so many options for this draft. We have basically 5 assets to work with. Two firsts, raks, rust, and EK. If we trade up to 4, I really like hagens but I love Martone too. I’m good with either one. Using two of the 5 assets to get there seems to be a good idea… but then if we want a RFA we have to part with another one of the assets.
It seems like we have a ton to work with but it dries up fast.
Brownsoldier
ParticipantLol I mean it wouldn’t be the same without him.
Brownsoldier
ParticipantOn here or HB?
