All depends on the asking price but Veleno is fucking useless
I don’t hate Veleno but he is at best, at the very best, a 4th line player. they’re asking him to play 3rd line.
so yes Danault would help. imho
and it has nothing to do with Dack and Newhook being injured, neither one of them is a center.They need a better D core
They need better team D overall, lots of missed assignments and opposition players just left alone in good scoring position.
This is not only on the D corps.

he would stabilize the forward group (the center line at least) like Carrier did with the dcore last year.

Kapanen could learn from him, and eventually become a Danault 2.0
that move is for the short term obviously. they could keep their picks and stay the course, but don’t tell me they would not be a better team with him as their #3C compared to Veleno.kind of a useless spending to trade for a 3C like that, no?

what’s not to like? even with 5 points he’s way better than most of our current bottom 6 plugs.yeah, the guy has 5 assists in 29 games this year, he’s gonna be soooo good next to Demidov..!
