You’ve been with the organization since 2019, before GM Daniel Briere took control two years ago. How has the scouting and draft process changed since then?
Very little. Even when (former GM Chuck Fletcher) was here, Danny was doing some amateur (scouting) with me, so he understood how we do things. I think we had similar philosophies as far as the draft and players to target. But Danny has lots of opinions, he likes to get out and see some players, but at the same time, he understood how our amateur group worked and was comfortable with it when he came on board. As far as the process itself, it’s really similar.
Flahr talking. That is well scary to read. Danny is a putz and puppet. Not sure how anyone can have faith in this regime.
Is there any one player you can point to and say Lappy had big hand in his development as an NHL player?
Excluding Jett and Bump for now, all I see is potential 4th line and bottom pair Defenseman. Now that isn’t all on Lappy though have any played above their grade? Flyers have been bad for so long yet very little in LHV to help the Flyers now or in the future.
They can try to go “Big Game Hunting” all they want. Unless they are severely overpaying players Philly is not a destination elite level players will want to establish roots.
There is very little incentive for those type of players to want to play for the Flyers. That is the reality and how far the Flyers have fallen. Players will have much better options to choose from.
