ParticipantThis just in … I’m bored.
START THE SEASON !!!

ParticipantHis numbers looked good in the 2022/2023 NHL season. His AHL numbers since then aren’t where’d you’d like to them.
Yeah, he was coming along real good in that season … but he’s been playing with injuries ever since then, he only played 40 games last year so his numbers show that.
If healthy, I’m sure he could be a useful addition to your team … in any case, you only signed him up for 1 year so it might be a risk worth taking. JMOGarfield
ParticipantI see you guys picked up Rafaël Harvey-Pinard (RHP for us Habs fans) … I think you guys did good here.
I’m happy for him … good guy.Not a bad winger (3rd line) but he got sidetracked with injuries over the last 2 years so he was passed by in the Habs hierarchy of prospects.

ParticipantRHP in PIT. good luck kid!
I’m happy for him … good player but he got sidetracked with injuries over the last 2 years.
He’ll have a much better chance to make the team over there as it’s getting crowded in Montreal.Garfield
ParticipantDemidov will be something to watch all by himself. Yes even if Dach or Newhook is the centre he plays with.
Dobson will make this team better. Remember how much Carrier made this team better? Dobson will have a much bigger impact and I like Carrier.
Slaf and Hutson will only keep growing as players. I expect we will see Reinbacher sooner rather than later.
This is a very young team and some players will have to fight at camp to make this team. As it should be.
The team was a disaster before December last year until we traded for Carrier … he instantly solidified the right side of our D.
What seemed impossible (making the playoffs) to most of us fans eventually became a reality because we stopped allowing 5-6 goals to the opponent every night.HuGo are slowly adding younger/better pieces to the puzzle and eliminating expensive contracts to overvalued players that Bergevin had signed … this is now becoming HuGo’s team.
Contrary to Bergevin who managed by the seat of his pants without any long term vision, our new management is purposeful and has a clear Drafting & Development plan.Last year, I didn’t think we had any chances of making the playoffs … this year I feel much different.

ParticipantI looked at a reel of all of Bolduc’s goals last year, he has a great shot. 80% of them where from center of the ice high slot with either a one timer or a wrister. Looks like he’s great at fiding the open ice to make himself open.
I think he might fit in well with Demidov who likes to skate with the puck and create plays.
I don’t think Laine will be a great fit, too static and whoever they will be centered by won’t be a selke nominee for sure. You need another winger that can play the 200 foot game and I think Bolduc is more capable in that department or otherwise. I think Demidov, Dach, Laine is too much of a liability.I saw the same thing … the puck doesn’t stay long on his stick, boom and it’s in the net.
Like you, I could see him working well eventually with Demidov as their styles are complimentary … Bolduc also brings in that 200 foot game (physical aspect/puck retrieval/forechecking).
The more I watch videos of Bolduc, the more I like his play … he seems like a stubborn dog on a bone. 🙂
Great replacement for Heineman with a lot more upside IMO.As for Laine, I don’t see him being with the team once his contract is up at the end of the season … he barely moves out there, his only asset is his shot and the opponents know it.
He’s way too expensive for what he brings (PP specialist only).Garfield
ParticipantFunny how things worked out … I was wondering what Hughes would do with our surplus of RHD defensemen, well it turns out that he already had a plan in place.
He killed two bird with one stone: by trading Mailloux he solved our defense surplus and he got us a Heineman replacement in Bolduc.End Result: We got a better defenseman than Mailloux in Dobson and probably a better winger than Heineman in Bolduc.
Win-Win … Hughes is like a chess player who is 5 moves ahead of us fans.Garfield
Participanti don’t think sports affects me like it does some of you guys.
We’re not crazy I swear … well hmmm I take that back, some of us are certifiable …

ParticipantThe fuck are the Kings doing? Petry to Florida. Also not sure WTF Yzerman is doing but have it. Cause fuck the Wings
Yeah, Detroit are very silent … they’ve resigned Kane but that’s not going to improve their team.
I haven’t followed them much but seems like a lot of stagnation over there.Garfield
ParticipantDach just needs to stay healthy.
Bolduc can / has played center, not sure if he is another realistic option.
Ideally, Laine gets traded.
Worse comes to worst, the Laine and Price contracts expire after this year … thats 19 millions off the books right there.
Rome wasn’t built in a day … the pieces are slowly being put together.Garfield
ParticipantThey need more skills in that top 6, but sure.
And its looking more and more like Dach will be the 2C to start the season.Asking price for top 6 centermen must be through the roof because MANY teams are looking for one.
Even Dvorak got a big contract with Philly … and he’s not close to being a top 6.Garfield
