He needs to be institutionalized
absolutely. even if they just do it for us neighbors.
the shame is he’s a super nice guy, he just never has anything to really talk about but finds a way to keep you out there for so long. i’ll say “man,i really can’t take this heat”, as i melt like a cheap candle right in front of him, and he’ll be like “so is that car next to yours new? is someone new renting that condo from donna?..”
i try to act like i’m constantly on my phone when i have to go out there and he’s peering out his storm door looking for somebody, anybody to talk to.
he’s in one of the pictures in the newspaper from our fires. he is actually standing there talking to the firefighters while they try to do their job in the picture.
With those people I just say something like “I gotta go to the bathroom”
he’ll say “oh this’ll only take 10 minutes..”
you could whip it out and pee on his feet and he wouldn’t take the hint.

i figure anthony can make a 25 minute conversation out of that while he ignores your obvious social cues that you’re trying to go back inside.
