So, the first part of the comment was about how I don’t hate Mondays, but Tuesdays bothered me.
Then, in an obviously overly-vague joke, I said I’m nervous on Saturday the 14th
because it comes the day after Friday The 13th. (A day which, like Monday, is the more common “problem day”)Get it?

Please don’t hate me but Mondays never bothered me.
I was always in the mood to get as much done as possible so the rest of the week would be easier.
Tuesdays are the one that got me.related: I’m always nervous on Saturday the 14th.
i think it’s more about the weekend being over for me. that sweet, sweet freedom.
i don’t really mind working.

we eventually let aunt connie in on it after thanksgiving moved to her daughter’s house.
she was appalled but laughed.

yes. it’s the potato party!
for decades thanksgiving was at my aunt connie’s house and it was a big deal with multiple courses and all kindsa fancy stuff. well every wednesday before thanksgiving, while aunt connie was putting the final touches on the house and all, the rest of us went to aunt candy’s where we would prepare the mashed potatoes. peeling them and mashing them and all that bit. only we weren’t peeling them and mashing them. we just ordered trays of mashed potatoes and brought them to thanksgiving the next day. half of us would show up hungover for thanksgiving.
thanksgiving isn’t at aunt connies anymore but we still have the potato party.
