ParticipantBut some people likely made millions of dollars on making and selling them, so it all turned out OK.

ParticipantI cannot believe someone thought: Hey, lawn darts you throw in the air with metal points is a great idea, let’s make and sell that!
And I cannot further believe our parents agreed.
I do not believe in the mentality of the bubble-wrap kid generation, but lawn darts were insane on every level.
i actually googled it after i made the post. it’s even worse. so many people had to die or get hurt before they just said “you know what, maybe we should stop allowing these to be sold”. and so many of them were little kids. it’s just nuts.

ParticipantBring on the Lawn Darts.
i was hoping the drunken lawn dart movement would gather some momentum. nice.

ParticipantMaybe it is like hoping you win the lottery by buying a bunch of tickets at once, thinking they have a better chance of making it rich hoping their kid becomes a mediocre back-up in the NHL and makes $3M per season….
he’ll buy us a house!
kicksave856
ParticipantOr used all their savings….
maybe they love their kid too much?
