ParticipantNot only that but sending him to a camp for perfecting the position when you never played? You could tell the coaches didn’t even know where to start with him, he could barely execute the drills.
And that shit was almost 700$ for two days!
damn, these people are rich.

ParticipantRich people, amiright…..
it must be nice. even the cheaper goalie gear is so expensive.

ParticipantWell he’s wearing whatever great deal/pads we can find on marketplace.
There was a kid last weekend with a brand new gear from TRUE. The whole set, must have cost around around 1800$.
I talked to his parents saying he looked pretty nice with that new gear out there.
Their answer?
Yeah but it’s his first time playing goalie this season so… we don’t know if he’ll like it.
I saw him on the ice, kid looks absolutely horrible, can’t even slide.
Gave them my phone number… saying to call me if he ever stops playing.
I like my odds.
why in the world did they do that if the kid wasn’t already committed? oh well, your gain. i hope you guys get the gear.

ParticipantYou ever post that again I’m driving to you and slapping you repeatedly
don’t threaten me with a good time.

ParticipantThat is pretty cool.
I remember when I went to hockey camp, we had Scotty Bowman come one day to talk about whatever (cannot recall, probably went over my head), and then Bob Gainey came and worked with the forwards and Larry Robinson with the defensemen.
I was never that great a player, but it was one of the best times of my early years.
i never got any pro player instruction but i do remember meeting ron hextall when i was like 19. i was a lot attendant at a big car dealership and he was in there looking at a vintage mercedes. i shook his hand and said “nice game last night” (iirc, he’d made 32 saves and beat the rangers). his handshake is like a vice. i thought i might need x-rays.

He’s slowly growing out of them though so he’ll switch to white/red pads during the season. Just didn’t want to switch during tryouts.
nice. i was expecting plain white.

ParticipantAnd do they have wings?
????

ParticipantWhat pads does your son wear?
and what color?!

ParticipantMy son spent his weekend with both Waite brothers (one former and the other still goaltender coach in the NHL).
Stéphane Waite might be a terrible informer, but my god these guys know what to do with goaltenders. The work they put in for two days was something else. My boy is absolutely fired up for his upcoming season.
excellent! very nice.

ParticipantIt is a wonderful 64 in your American degrees right now, with an almost perfect high of 75-77 this afternoon.
This is what summer should always be like.
okay, i’m really on my way this time.
kicksave856
ParticipantBack to heat dome on Thursday though.

ParticipantPeople will probably think you are just going to Walmart.
oh man, let me tell you, we have a prime example of the walmarts you see on the internet just a few towns over. west berlin. the trailer trashiest people in the general vicinity. all “on disability”, rarely bathe, major goal in life is to obtain as many lottery scratch off tickets and cigarettes as possible.
kicksave856
ParticipantIt is very nice outside.
I want to go out.
Even if I have to put on pants.
we have a couple cooler days here too. today should only reach 84 american degrees. i am going to take my pants off and go outside. it’s nj, weirder things are going on out there.
kicksave856
ParticipantI’ve though that about worse people.
good morning!
