Every year, I find the biggest bones I can get and wrap them up for each of the dogs.

And I also get these large plastic chicken dog toys that have these crazy loud squeakers in them, which drives my sister’s family nuts every Christmas, but I cannot stop laughing so hard.

They love the chickens more than the giant bones.

Too bad they get destroyed in a day or two.

they do love getting gifts like everyone else. buddy is always super excited and then he either hides the bone like someone is going to take it from him or he runs in the basement where he has another bed and he can chew it up in peace and quiet.

here is a too dark picture of him one christmas eve with his gift.

The things we do for the animals we love.

At least he is warm in the winter!

they struggle to get him in those pajamas every night but he does seem to feel more at ease with them on. and it really is adorable.

when i met buddy you could scoop him up in one arm. christmas eve is at their house and every year i wrap a bone and put his name on it so he gets a gift too.

Yeah, my sister has a couple of big dogs, but she is a little ways away.

When I go there, pretty much ignore everyone for the first 30 mins to an hour to play with the dogs.

    LOL.

i’m the same way! here’s my sister’s dog buddy in his pajamas (he has allergies and scratches his skin)

he looks sad but he actually is a lot better when he has the pajamas on.

I do miss having a dog – as a kid I grew up around big dogs, specifically an amazing doberman that followed me everywhere as a kid. My mom had to leash her as she would try to get on the school bus with me every morning.

But we lived in the country with lots of land for them to run and play.

I have a decent size yard, but Just not big enough for a dog – at least in my mind – to really run around and play in. I just would find that unfair to the dog. Yeah, there are dog parks and placed we could go to, but just no place for a dog to go outside and play when they just want to go out.

Maybe one day I will move back out of the city and have a decent patch of land to get me a big dog again.

i have a small condo with no real yard. but i have certain dogs that i go out to see when i hear them being walked by. the one dog always barks at the other dogs so i always know when he’s out there.

and then there’s mysterious glasgow. one night i opened my front door and there was a guy silently walking his big fluffy dog by. he didn’t say anything so i asked “what’s his name?” and he said “glasgow”. so i said “hello, glasgow”. and the guy just kept walking.

    Not gonna lie.

Many years ago, I was in a bad place. Just did not want to get out of bed or do anything.

But having a pet forced me to get up, care for her and make sure she have what they need – food, brushings, play time, etc…

But also, I found watching TV on the couch and petting her to be calming when I was angry / stressed.

Also, it makes you watch a lot of animal videos on youtube.

In fact, that is pretty much 100% my algorithm.

well i’m glad things got better. i hate when people are sad or upset.

i know pets help because just playing with all my neighbors dogs makes me feel better.

Yeah, got her at a garage sale for $5 while I was walking home from the grocery store.

Gave the girl my $5 and told her I just lived up the corner, was going to drop off my groceries and be right back in 5 minutes.

she asked me if I wanted to see it first, I said no.

Came back, she was the runt of the littler, last one nobody wanted, tiniest thing you ever did see. But she was playful and cuddly.

Been 12 years since she passed on, still miss her waking my up in the morning my licking my eyelids.

Never wanted another pet afterwards, but then this monster came into my life by happenstance.

Sometimes life give you gifts when you need them the most….

aw. well i’m glad you got the runt of that litter.

pets are important! and i think having pets is good for our health somehow.

I think aeros will be the Houston team. For ATL… It wouldn’t surprise me if they use Georgia.

    The Georgia Peaches?

    I get it.

I had cat for 21 years, and from the time she was able to eat hard food, she only wanted Meow Mix – would not eat anything else including wet food.

The only other thing she would occasionally eat was salt and vinegar chips, but only once my other cat was done licking off all the salt and vinegar flavour (and it was still crunchy, not a soggy wet mess).

    21 years! wow! that’s amazing!

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, whose future with the team appeared murky at the end of last season, has reached agreement on a four-year, $130 million contract extension that makes him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The deal includes $90 million guaranteed, the fourth most in a wide receiver’s contract, the sources told Schefter. It marks the first time in NFL history that a receiver has received an average over $31 million after playing only three seasons. The $32.5 million average in his new deal is fifth highest among NFL wide receivers.

    My cat is very picky.

You can buy the same brand of tuna dinners, but one is for hairball and the other is for like vital systems / vitamins and she will eat one but refuses to eat the other.

She use to be more adventurous, but we are down to this chicken entree and a specific tuna dish.

Will not eat any other fish or meat.

Will not eat any human food (although, she does like a few licks of vanilla ice cream).

The vet asked us to change her dry cereal a few months ago, and we got lucky that she likes the new brand.

Otherwise it is howling and crying all day for a change of food.

    LOL.

we had a cat when i was growing up that actually got angry with all of us when we changed her food. she wouldn’t eat it and she wouldn’t look at us until we changed it back. her name was pearl and she was really weird.

White meat chicken and vegetables entree with a side of Royal Cainin dry food to peck at during the day.

    Likely better than I got.

why does every can of cat food smell the same even though the flavors are supposedly different? i’ve asked cats if all the food tastes the same but i think they’re in on the cover up because not one of them has ever answered me.
