His site used to be always humming 10-15 years ago. All day, everyday the main thread and popular team threads were always active. Right now, 12 years ago, there would be 20 of us in the habs threads until like 11. Now,dead all the time. We’re in the final and there is zero activity.
Looking at other forums, what’s the difference? Site maintenance,upgrades and integration of new features. EK’s bare bones operation has run its course and can go away. The STHs have gone away, so the point of investing is gone too.
What also hurts are good bloggers leaving and being replaced with people who lose interest in the task after months. Overzealous refs who chase out good posters and ban for fun. We get it, you have some power in your life too bad you can’t exercise it on people. Lastly, closing misc threads. Let us have some fun and create bonds beyond hockey team fandom.
i guess i wasn’t even fully grasping how much of a ghost town all the other parts of the site are now. i just took a look and it is kind of shocking. i always go right to the forums so i hardly ever see the front page. it is pretty barren now. wasn’t the warring factions of canuck fans still there just a few days ago? now they’re all gone?
who the hell is gonna hire that guy for a real job after his site closes?
I think hes intentionally deleting posts and banning people. The Flyers thread has been there for 3 days, zero posts and his main blog records 5 comments but theres only one in there
he’s definitely being even weirder and creepier than usual. i think he might be losing it a little bit over his empire crumbling and his friends and everybody leaving. he’s another one of these people that doesn’t seem to be able to understand simple cause and effect if he’s the cause.

i had ultra violent the other day. today i went for the ghost welch’s grape to see the difference. pretty big difference. the ultra violent can get a little warm and still taste okay. but the welch’s one needs to be ice cold.
