i just brought home my stash. i think they heard me say i might try another dispo because i think my discount used to be %15 and now it’s 20%. after the 20% and $4 in rewards points, i got this for $105.
that’s $26.25 per jar, which is a super low price even for the budget brands around here and this isn’t even a budget brand.

i really should have just played more of a stand up style because i was tall (i’m still tall) but all the cool kids were butterfly goalies.

When I played early hockey – like 5-6 – we had a rotating goalie thing going. Everyone got a chance to play at least once.
Let in 1 goal, mostly because I was falling flat on the ice and no one could lift the puck very well.
Never played goalie again.
i loved playing but i didn’t really stop to understand the mechanics of everything until later in life. i just threw myself around. like, i got angles and coming out further from my net to take space away and all that but there are so many things i learned years later and though to myself “man, i really could have applied that knowledge back then.”
