    Yes I do!

Not a deuce or a douche.

    Or maybe he is?

Regardless, it is another runner in the night.

i’m sure we’ll get to the bottom of all of this but right now we’ve had bans haned out in error. hold on!

    oh, and good morning.

All depends on who was banned.

yeah, I agree with what you’re saying, but then the question becomes, if Guhle is too often injured, can you rely on him to be part of your top 4, or should the habs consider moving on..?

If he can play 70 games a year, then you keep him.

Otherwise, it becomes a struggle from year to year planning your top 6.

Then again, he is under contract for $5.5M for this year and 4 more afterwards….

I really like Guhle a lot and hope this is an aberration for his career going forward…. unlike Dach, who I feel is doomed to always be injured.

losing Guhle might be the biggest one though, the backend is different without him there… hopefully he doesn’t have the same curse as Dach, jfc.

I dunno why, but it just seems like so many injuries year after year… I know they happen, but we have had lots of long-term ones…

(Then again, kept Laine off the ice a lot, so… not all bad!).

Losing Newhook really sucked though. T_T

Yeah, Newhook was finally starting to look like the player we wanted when we made the trade and I like how he worked with Kappy and Demodov.

The Guhle injury hurts a lot too, but good thing we kept Matheson – he has been really solid this year.

We are exactly where we should be.

    Probably ahead, too.

I am more frustrated by the volume of injuries… this team seems cursed year after year.

I think Bolduc is still struggling to find his game with his new team, he’ll get better and more comfortable once things stablize a bit.

Bolduc started out strong, then got bounced around all over the lineup after 4-5 games.

Kappy and Demidov still getting points, at least, so good on them.

I do not think Suzuki is at 100% either.

not a bad point, but at the same time, Stamkos isn’t looking good at all right now. Even if it’s a short-term deal, I’d rather consider other options and use that cap space more efficiently.

There has been talk of Kadri, which is fine as he is likely a better fit, but he has 3 more years after this one.

The AAV is nto the issue, it is the term left with a lot of these guys.

ugh, I dunno about Stamkos though… I know he could turn things around in MTL but the guy has 5pts in 20 games, he’s getting pretty old, and is still making 8M per for another 2 years.

Not tht I want Stamkos, but if they were going to trade for an older player, I’d rather have one with a few years left than one with 5or 6+.

Will just use Laine’s cape space.

When the Montreal Canadiens started the season with a 7-3 record, it was quite easy to get swayed away by the great results, amazing plays and obvious[See the full post at: Canadiens Flaws Catching Up To Them]

I think they are starting to believe their own press too much.

They are not doing the small things that were working earlier in the season, they are not shooting enough instead always looking for the perfect / cute pass, no one driving to the net, no one standing in front of the net in the offensive zone, not making it hard on the other teams to get possession or keeping teams to the outside in their own zone.

Just look at the first 5-3 PP they had last night… ZERO shots on goal. The second 5-3 only got them 2 shots, I believe.

Stop over passing, put someone in front of the net, and shoot the damn puck.

How do you have a 5-3 and not even get a shot on net?

How do you get a second 5-3 and only get 2 shots on net?

They are trying too hard to make the pretty play, not playing hard, not going to the tough areas, not shooting, no one in front of the bruins net 99% of the night.

And 2 more bad goals let in by Monty.

    Terrible.
